Peter D. Stanhope

Peter is a Partner on the Business Law team and practices primarily in the areas of Commercial Real Estate and Development, Commercial Leasing, Environmental Law and Financing. He regularly represents local, regional and national developers in all matters concerning real estate development. He also represents both landlords and tenants throughout the commercial leasing process in all industries. Peter came to BOYNECLARKE LLP after thirteen years as senior in-house counsel with Canada’s largest grocery retailer where he was responsible for all areas of commercial real estate, including development, land acquisitions/ dispositions, and an emphasis on commercial leasing and negotiations. Peter also regularly provided advice on environmental matters involving management of impacted sites, required remediation and regulatory orders.

In addition to commercial real estate, Peter has significant experience in commercial law including the purchase and sale of businesses, drafting professional and construction agreements, and providing advice in Franchise Law.
